Couples have always embraced minimal new wave to express their love openly. Clearly more artistic than their contemporaries hosted by Italians Do It Better (Chromatics), Liz Wendelbo and Sean McBride have been paving the way for a broader audience by signing with DAIS: a less arid production and more direct tracks with sweet flavors of catchy pop, a fully realized approach on their new album. A wide gap between geekiness and random analog synths. Concise, thoughtful, melodic, a juxtaposition of control and contrast, an immediate crush. Available on CD and LP or transparent LP.
