The Charcoal Sunset, a Berlin-based Americana band led by Juri Member, has established itself since 2007 as one of the most authentic hidden gems of the German roots scene. Revealed by a "Demo of the Month" in Rolling Stone and praised by the press, they have shared the stage with international artists like The Avett Brothers and Seth Lakeman, asserting that Americana from Berlin can compete with Nashville. Their first album on Bear Family Records®, Souvenirs (released on April 10, 2026), condenses years of artistic maturation through an intense blend of Americana, folk, and roots rock, driven by organic arrangements and poetic writing by Juri Member. A deeply sincere, timeless, and soulful record — a collection of musical "souvenirs" shaped with heart, conviction, and a rare narrative mastery.
