The first album by the Bordeaux quartet, a pop sound that is both rock and synthetic, rhythmic and romantic. Play Chimera, Summer Light, Keep Your Distance or Runaway at random, taken from TAMPLE’s first album, and you will surely observe these physical reactions around you: whistling, head nodding, beaming smiles, hip swaying. And an irresistible urge to play the track again, and again. It has to be said that the Bordeaux quartet has found a formula that works here. TAMPLE’s little tunes are immediate, natural, obvious. Like Hot Chip or Isaac Delusion, the four men manage to inject a serious dose of soul into their synth-pop, finding the perfect balance between music to listen to alone in your room and a forest of raised arms on a feverish dance floor.
