Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen is a brand new Netflix horror series released in 2026, produced by the Duffer Brothers, the creative minds behind the global hit Stranger Things. The story follows engaged couple Rachel Harkin (Camila Morrone) and Nicky Cunningham (Adam DiMarco) during the tense week leading up to their wedding, as what should be the happiest time of their lives slowly unravels into a nightmarish descent of psychological terror and creeping anxiety. The narrative keeps guessing whether the threat they face is human, supernatural, or rooted in the couple's fears and relationships, featuring strange encounters, troubling family dynamics, and unsettling revelations. The series also showcases remarkable performances from seasoned actors Jennifer Jason Leigh and Ted Levine as the Cunningham family, along with Jeff Wilbusch, Karla Crome, Gus Birney, and Zlatko Buric. The music for the series is composed by Grammy Award-winning musician and composer Colin Stetson, known for his unique use of the saxophone in his projects. He has collaborated with acclaimed artists such as Bon Iver, Arcade Fire, and The National, among others. Scoring Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen draws on Stetson's extensive experience in film and video game music. He has composed soundtracks for films such as the psychological horror Hereditary (2018) and the dark thriller The Menu (2022), as well as for the epic Rockstar game Red Dead Redemption 2 (2018). For this series, Stetson offers a suspenseful score that perfectly complements the Duffer Brothers' signature storytelling. A must-watch for fans!
