The post-punk trio arrives with a abrasive debut album! Moaning began by playing back-to-back shows in DIY venues in Los Angeles, then worked on and fleshed out Sean Solomon’s primitive recordings, adding Andrew MacKelvie’s powerful syncopated drumming, Pascal Stevenson’s melodic bass and synths, capturing each member’s personality. From the sentimental to the cataclysmic, a gentle beating, introspective lyrics in powerful danceable tracks. Moaning’s music also echoes some of the band’s heroes such as New Order, Broadcast and Slowdive. Moaning’s passionate tracks are born from the members’ experiences around love and distress, which brings a dark and sincere dimension to their music.
