Following the success of his album Somebody's Knocking, the very prolific Mark Lanegan announces his new project, Straight Songs Of Sorrow, set to be released on May 8. An album featuring prestigious collaborations, including appearances by Greg Dulli, Warren Ellis, John Paul Jones, and Ed Harcourt! The album is Lanegan's most autobiographical project to date: the twenty tracks it comprises are directly inspired by the artist's encounters and experiences, and are accompanied by his memoirs: 'Sing Backwards And Weep'.
