The fourth album from Berlin experimental duo hackedepicciotto is back with The Silver Threshold, already their fourth studio album. This enchanting and hypnotic album perfectly blends swirling electronics with the magnificent vocal harmonies of Danielle de Picciotto (co-founder of Berlin's legendary Love Parade, prolific solo artist, and illustrator) and Alexander Hacke (from the band Einstürzende Neubauten). The Silver Threshold, their "most symphonic" album to date, is expansive and experimental, reflecting the endless movement through places, landscapes, and environments that the duo has experienced. On this album, they glide between genres: at once cinematic and industrial, between experimental and spoken word... all to form soundscapes that shift from an immersive atmosphere to noisy eruptions. A rare gem.
