The self-titled album 'Eric Clapton' is the artist's first solo album. Released in August 1970, it would be one of the most successful reinventions in rock history. This Deluxe edition features three different mixes of the album, as well as singles, alternate versions, and outtakes. This album marks Clapton's transition from the guitar hero icon he was in the 60s to a complete artist. For this occasion, he surrounded himself with new American musicians with a more rootsy sound, who provided a new framework for his talent.
