DeVo

Formed in Akron, Ohio, in 1972, Devo pioneered a fusion of new wave, punk, and electronic music with a satirical, pseudo-scientific concept of 'de-evolution.' Their synth-driven sound and distinctive imagery influenced alternative music scenes through the 70s and 80s.
