Very few bands make it past a few decades, and for those that do, it's often easy to get comfortable and stay in their lane. But there’s nothing comfortable about Devourer, the explosive new album from Cursive. The iconic Omaha band has been known for their intensity, ambition and execution, spending 30 years carving out a daring discography that’s defined as much by its cathartic sound as its intense, thought-provoking lyrical themes. Devourer is still daring. Full of intense, incisive songs, the album proves exactly why Cursive has been so influential and enduring—and why they remain so vital today. Devourer, as a sprawling new double-album, examines humanity's infinite capacity to consume through a series of songs that act as vignettes, guided by frontman Tim Kasher’s unending appetite for consumption and creating art. Double vinyl pressing.
