A true cornerstone of Reggae and Jamaican Deejaying, Big Youth would leave his mark on the new English Punk and Post Punk scene by placing powerful militancy at the center of his work. Introduced to The Clash and PIL by Don Letts, he joined the very young Virgin Frontline label in 1978 with the reissue of what would remain one of the greatest classics of the genre. First released in 1975 on the intimate Klik label, it was the 1978 reissue on Virgin Frontline that would turn the label’s history around and launch the artist’s career internationally.
