After a critically acclaimed first album that pioneered a sound combining Bristol Trip Hop and London Pop, Archive re-enters the fray with a more Pop/Rock sound on the album Take My Head. Take My Head was a huge success, touring all over Europe to become a staple of the band and of British Pop. Suzanne Wooder’s more ethereal voice, having freshly replaced Roya Arab, forced the band to take this turn, which was significantly less dark than on their first album.
