Around guitarist and composer Kazuyuki K. Null, Zeni Geva established itself in the late 1980s as one of the most radical formations in the Japanese noise rock and experimental metal scene. Maximum Implosion gathers all the recorded collaborations with Steve Albini (Big Black, Shellac), a staunch supporter of the band and producer of several of its albums. This box set includes the legendary Nai-Ha, the rare studio recordings of Superunit, where Albini joins Zeni Geva on guitar and vocals, as well as the concert All Right, You Little Bastards!, recorded in Tokyo and Osaka in 1992. Accompanied by an extensive illustrated booklet, unpublished texts by Mitsuru Tabata, a comic by Rob Syers, and period photographs, this edition represents the most comprehensive account of one of the most significant collaborations between the Japanese noise scene and Steve Albini.
