The multi-instrumentalist and visionary artist Yussef Dayes is set to release his highly anticipated debut solo studio album "Black Classical Music" on September 8, 2023.
“Black Classical Music" is a 19-track album that takes listeners through the past and present of the exalted artist, while exploring themes of home and family. The album is inspired by his musical heroes Miles Davis & Rahsaan Roland Kirk and the many travels of Yussef around the globe that have deepened his study of rhythm.
On "Black Classical Music", we find Chronixx, Jamilah Barry, Tom Misch, Shabaka Hutchings, Miles James, Sheila Maurice Grey, Nathaniel Cross, Theon Cross and the Chineke ! Orchestra, as well as Venna, Rocco Palladino, Charlie Stacey and Elijah Fox.
