XYZ

Description

Ysa Ferrer was born in Oran to a father of Algerian descent and a French mother. She became known on television in the series Seconde B, which had 104 episodes aired on France 2. At the same time, she wrote and composed her first songs with Daniel Castano. Ysa Ferrer has a unique universe. Her music is electro pop, with highly crafted visuals. She freely addresses sometimes taboo themes such as the search for identity or bisexuality. She becomes a true gay icon, and the press nicknames her the "French Kylie Minogue." She churns out hits and even performs with Katy Perry. In 2018, she released her single "Née Sous X" to announce the tone of her sixth album. XYZ, a finely tuned album, references the X, Y, Z generations that have influenced her musical journey and immerses us completely from the 80s to today. With its thirteen tracks, this new album stands as a pure reflection of the artist Ysa Ferrer through its depth, sensitivity, as well as its madness and great fantasy. It is a skillful blend of styles, where electro pop productions like "Née sous X," "Tu Pédales," or "Follow Me" coexist with more sensual, stripped-down tracks like "Je Sortirai Grandie," "Passe Encore," or "À l’Évidence." From the naive purity of the vibration of an acoustic guitar string to the precision of a synthetic sound, passing through children's choirs and strings, XYZ is a multigenerational album offering us thirteen gems to listen to without moderation.
