Since its debut with As The Flame Withers in 2021 and the captivating Blazing Inferno in 2024, YOTH IRIA has been on an upward trajectory while exploring increasingly darker directions. The band retains the immediacy of Blazing Inferno, the psychedelic dimension of its first album, and the codes of Hellenic black metal, while integrating new atmospheres. Founded by Jim Mutilator — also a co-founder of Rotting Christ and Varathron — YOTH IRIA thus fits into the great tradition of Greek black metal. With its wind-swept introduction, blazing solo, and twin harmonies, the opening track "Dare To Rebel" reveals the influence of classic heavy metal that runs through Gone With The Devil. The often majestic tempos allow dark riffs, striking melodies, and expressive leads to breathe, making the blast sections — like on "The Blind Eye Of Antichrist" — even more devastating. Blending Mediterranean folk touches, gothic accents, and almost ancestral melodies, Gone With The Devil balances tradition and modernity.
