Love story

Description

Born Michael Wayne Atha, Yelawolf was born on December 30, 1979 in Gadsden, Alabama. The name Yelawolf echoes his Native American roots: Yela means fire, strength, courage and Wolf means wolf. Immersed in the world of rock by his parents, it was during the many trips he made throughout his childhood that he discovered hip-hop. Traveling across the southern United States, Louisiana, Georgia and Tennessee, his love for music and urban art kept growing. First a professional skateboarder hungry for thrills, Yelawolf turned to his second hobby, music, following an injury that forced him to give up his first passion for good. After a few difficult years in the southern United States, he wrote several lyrics for artists ranging from Juelz Santana to Slim Thug. Then Yelawolf entered the big leagues in 2010 by releasing Trunk Muzic, a critically acclaimed mixtape. Songs such as I Wish forced people to look beyond his many tattoos and discover his talent. Signed in 2011 to Shady Records, Eminem’s label, he announced the release of a debut album, Radioactive, which reached No. 27 on the Billboard chart, and released a first single, Hard White (Up in the Club). Today Yelawolf presents his second album titled Love Story, recorded in Nashville, Tennessee. Produced among others by Eminem, Malay, WillPower and DJ Paul, it includes the famous single Till It's Gone as well as Wiskey In a Bottle. American You, unveiled a few weeks ago, shows his desire to be where he is not expected. Surrounded by his friend Travis Barker, drummer for Blink 182, Yelawolf declares his love for America by paying tribute to workers and soldiers over a country and unifying rhythm.
