Yaya was the first signing of the new label Big Dada and released her EP The Things I Can't Take With Me in April 2021. This new album explores the landscape of Black music through Yaya's narrative and experimental approach to modern R&B, Jazz, Hip Hop, Afrobeat, and Reggae. Through these lenses, Yaya examines themes of romantic turmoil, patriarchy, women's empowerment, strained parental relationships, and self-fulfillment. The album will be announced with the lead single "Keisha", as well as three other singles, each accompanied by a visual for which Yaya is the creative director.
