This instrumental version of the album is released alongside the original version with Common, Talib Kweli, Posdnuos, T-3 & Guilty Simpson, and is reissued on vinyl for the first time since 2013.In 2008, just two years after the passing of James Yancey aka J Dilla, Mike Ross, founder of Delicious Vinyl, presented J Dilla's mother, Maureen Yancey (aka Ma Dukes), with a vault of unreleased beats from her late son. After Dilla's childhood friend (and longtime collaborator), Frank Nitty (Of Frank N' Dank) was part of a group of confidants, who lovingly sifted through the treasure chest of music, crafting a tribute to their deceased friend in the best way they knew how. With hundreds and hundreds of instrumentals to choose from, Illa J, Nitty and Dilla's brother, narrowed the pile down to a collection of about 50 tracks, some of which would become the building blocks for their 2013 debut Yancey Boys album, "Sunset Blvd". Upon its release in 2013, the LP became an instant classic, earning recognition from trendsetters around the world.
