The limits of passion carried with power by Xavier Sabata!The myth of Orlando furioso, imagined by Ludovico Ariosto in the 16th century, is one of the most fertile for dramatic and musical imagination. Between chivalric heroism, amorous torments and psychological vertigo, it explores the limits of passion and the fractures of the human soul, offering Baroque composers an ideal terrain to express the tension between reason and madness, order and chaos. This program bears witness to this, a journey through the multiple faces of Orlando via extracts from operas by Vivaldi, Handel, Steffani, Fux and Porpora, where recitatives, arias and instrumental movements mirror his inner world.
