Despite its rebellious spirit, black metal can be terribly rigid. WRATH OF LOGARIUS comes from this familiar landscape, but dares to break free from the strict traditions of the scene. With Crown of Mortis, the band establishes the official crowning of a new kingdom for the subgenre: formless black metal. Just like the relentless character who inspired its name, WRATH OF LOGARIUS is impossible to predict. With a first EP that was an instant success, the band gained raw power. The first single, "Keeper of the Spectral Legion," summons an army of the undead with merciless riffs and gloomy tremolo, while the mournful "Long Dead the King" is driven by the staggering abilities of drummer Lord Marco. But this first full-length album also showcases a sense of chilling atmosphere with a knack for raising the hairs on the back of your neck. Steeped in overwhelming darkness, "Of the Void" brings fire and ice together.
