Description

When the Dutch death/doom metal band Dead End called it quits in 1993, bassist Alwin Roes and vocalist Misha van de Ven formed the band Wish. By recruiting Bart Smits, the first vocalist of the legendary The Gathering (on their debut album "Always"), they found a vocalist and keyboardist who shared the same vision of creating intense, dark yet catchy rock, with a touch of 80s alternative bands like Joy Division and The Sisters Of Mercy. Without guitars but with two bass guitars, where Alwin played a distorted 6-string bass, they created their own unique sound (a blend of alternative, doom, gothic and industrial) and recorded their debut album "Monochrome" in 1995. Doc Records will now re-release this fantastic debut album on CD in a special digibook edition.
