There And Back Again

Description

In 1982, Winterhawk released the LP "Revival" on their own initiative. This sprawling hard rock with heavy metal tendencies and numerous two-part guitar solos was only distributed in the Chicago area, but at some point, collectors became aware of the record's existence. In 1998, the label Monster Records, specializing in American hard rock and heavy metal from the late seventies to the early eighties, thus made its appearance. Winterhawk quickly became a name in the scene. However, the sensation was only perfect when the opportunity arose to rework a live recording from 1978 and release it on CD. With impressive sound quality, "There And Back Again" goes even further. The joy of playing cannot be described in words, and the two-part guitar solos alone should win a Grammy. There are repeated echoes of early Rush ("Rusch", "Fly By Night"), while the group tackles the expansion of Southern rock. The songwriting is also compelling, and "captivating" is an understatement. While "Revival" has already been reissued several times, "There And Back Again" has never been released on vinyl. Golden Core is changing that today in the form of a double LP in gatefold (+ printed inlay). The material has been remastered especially for vinyl.
