Patrick Morales, aka Wiki, is far from an unknown on the bustling American hip-hop scene, having been a member of the trio Ratking since 2011, an excellent trio whose first album was released on XL Recordings in 2014. If 'Lil Me', his mixtape from 2015, offered a glimpse into the youthful energy of an artist on the cusp of adulthood, 'No Mountains in Manhattan' shows the 23-year-old rapper confronting his demons, addressing themes such as addiction, relationships, identity, and responsibility. This debut album is an introspective account of the young man's life over the past year, a narrative that all young adults can relate to, a rugged journey whose conclusion offers a vision, an understanding of the world. This first solo album is a journey through the trials and experiences of coming of age in New York City's most populous borough. Entirely produced in XL's New York studio, the album is primarily inspired by the city that never sleeps, featuring local MCs, from legends to newcomers including Ghostface Killah, Lakutis, ACAB, Slicky Boy, Your Old Droog...
