Musique de chambre avec flûte

Description

Often underestimated despite the undeniable beauty and musical value of his works, the prolific Georg Philipp Telemann is still serving his "infamous sentence" of having been, in his lifetime, more famous than Johann Sebastian Bach! A major representative of the aesthetic ideal of his time, his work "Les Goûts Réunis", incorporating stylistic elements from Italian, French, English, and Polish traditions, gave the transverse flute the importance it deserved. And that is the leitmotif of this recording made in December 1997 by the great Wilbert Hazelzet with his longtime collaborators and friends: cellist Jaap ter Linden, harpsichordist Jacques Ogg, and lutenist Konrad Junghänel.
