Whitesnake continues to revisit its multi-platinum award-winning career by remixing some of its greatest hits in a new compilation that includes updated versions of essential tracks such as 'Still Of The Night', 'Here I Go Again' and 'Is This Love'. Shortly after the release of this album, the band will hit the road for the last time with the 'Whitesnake: The Farewell Tour'. David Coverdale, Whitesnake's singer and founding member, had 16 tracks remixed and remastered for this compilation: "We've taken the original Greatest Hits and liberated these tracks from their 1980s and 1990s time capsule, updating them from a sonic perspective. Of course, the original albums are still available for those who consider them sacred relics." Keyboardist Derek Sherinian, who participated in Whitesnake's recent Red, White and Blues trilogy, added Hammond organ parts to more than half of the tracks on this compilation. His fiery contributions are noticeable, among others, in 'Here I Go Again', 'Fool For Your Loving' and 'You're Gonna Break My Heart Again'. New guitar parts from former Whitesnake member Adrian Vandenberg are also featured in 'The Deeper The Love' and 'Judgement Day', from the 1989 album Slip of the Tongue. In addition to these additions, David Coverdale also unearthed unreleased tracks from guitarist John Sykes from the archives, including a solo in 'Slide It In' and a rhythm part in 'Give Me All Your Love'.
