Originally from Brussels, Pierre Mignon, alias PEET, made a name for himself within the group Le 77 before striking out on his own. A rapper, lyricist, and beatmaker, PEET draws inspiration from personal stories, urban setbacks, and life stories. Inspired by ordinary people, he puts into his lyrics what he sees and hears, as well as what he lives and feels. A witness to his generation, PEET lives firmly in tune with his time, making him a sensitive and authentic figure whose subtle pen wins over ever-growing crowds who come out to see him in concert. In February 2022, he returned to the Belgian charts with his album "TODO BIEN", which went far beyond borders, racking up 3 million streams, including 2 million in France. Between his introspective lyrics and bangers to get the crowds moving, PEET invited rappers and friends JEANJASS, PRIMERO, and ROMEO ELVIS onto this album. The Todo Bien Tour was also a huge success, seeing PEET take to the stages of many renowned concert halls and festivals such as the main stage of Dour Festival, Francofolies de SPA, and Couleur Café. In the fall of 2023, the rapper performed to sold-out crowds in the French capital for a double date at La Maroquinerie, as well as in the Belgian capital, in the main hall of Ancienne Belgique. He was still surrounded by a live band made up of talented musicians: VEEKO on drums (Swing, Aloïse Sauvage, L'or du Commun, Scylla, Ichon, Joanna), NICOLAS FELICES on bass (Camille Lelouche, Nemir, Yseult, Aloise Sauvage), FERDI on saxophone (Dabeull, Sofiane Pamart, Ichon, Beesau, Scylla) and ELVIN GALLAND on piano (Vianney, Mentissa, Saskia, Manu Katche), not to mention his longtime companion MORGAN VAN DER GHINST who accompanies him everywhere. With a style all his own, PEET is undeniably one of the rappers to watch closely this year. Determined to reveal a still little-known side of his world, in his upcoming album he unveils his deepest emotions with a writing finesse that is decidedly endearing. Great collaborations will be featured on this album, and a date at La Cigale has already been announced for November 23, 2024 in Paris.
