Whiskey Myers’ seventh album, Whomp Whack Thunder, is an onomatopoeic cry of self-determined Texas Rock. Since emerging in 2007, the band has played nearly 3,000 concerts before ever-growing crowds. In addition to headlining their own sold-out shows from coast to coast at iconic venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre and the Ryman Auditorium, and performing at top festivals such as Bonnaroo and Stagecoach, the band was also personally selected to open for the Rolling Stones at Chicago Stadium in 2019. Whiskey Myers has sold more than 2.4 million albums and amassed more than 3.6 billion streams, while earning nine RIAA Gold, Platinum and multi-Platinum certifications as an independent band. Known for their high-energy concerts and unique sound, the band has been praised by Esquire as “the real deal” and by Rolling Stone, which noted that “it’s the seminal combination of twang and crunchy rock & roll guitars that hits a sweet spot.”
