Back on Indiana avenue, the Carrol DeCamp recordings
Description
Here is finally the sixth volume dedicated to Wes Montgomery offered by the Resonance label and containing nearly 2 hours of previously unreleased live and studio recordings on 2 meticulously restored CDs. The Carroll Decamp Recordings captured in the mid-1950s in his hometown of Indianapolis explore, on standards by Thelonious Monk and Miles Davis, the art of the guitarist at the dawn of his global career. These two CDs present these previously unreleased recordings to date and reveal a historic period of the guitar giant. Carroll Decamp was at that time the pianist who accompanied Wes on stage and would become a renowned arranger for, among others, Stan Kenton. To be carefully stored between 'In The Beginning' and the highly acclaimed 'In Paris', both of which are still available.
