Description

The young rising star of the vibraphone, Warren Wolf, has recorded an album of remarkable balance, surrounded by prestigious sidemen, a kind of “dream team” of modern jazz! Six compositions and five carefully selected covers are featured on this album, whose funky-soul bursts, hard bop flights, intimate ballads, and even a subtle touch of classical music keep the interest alive from start to finish. It was Christian McBride who produced the album and brought together this top-flight cast. He says: “Warren’s stratospheric level of musicianship clearly places him on the same level as John Scofield and Brad Mehldau, two musicians he had never worked with before. I believe the result of this collective is greater than the sum of these incredible talents, which tells you just how good the music is!”
