Vulcanae Rock'N'Rolla

Description

Vulcanae Rock’n’rolla by Vulves assassines: A volcano of rock is sweeping over the old world. Vulcanae Rock’n’rolla means “Volcano of rock” in Latin, or almost. On this new release, Vulves assassines have left no essential subject by the wayside: they share their nostalgia (widely shared on the left) for the good old days of Chirac and his friends, they bring back to life the most rock icon of the Paris Commune: Louise Mitchell, they send millionaires into space for a one-way trip, and they finally unveil their complete political program for the 2027 presidential election. But if this torrent of lava is very often a torrent of laughter, it sometimes turns into melancholic ballads, sometimes intimate, which make it a more nuanced album than the previous two, which is frankly no bad thing. Still self-produced, self-written and self-composed, this album has the feel of a real album of music to listen to, which is also a change from the previous ones. You can tell they really put the work in this time, and we can thank the soon-to-be very famous Antoine Poyeton for the mixing and co-direction. To sum up, this volcano-album is the one that sets fire to and ravages a world already on fire and ravaged, which in the end cancels itself out. Vulcanae Rock’n’rolla is the album that changes the world.
