Stabat Mater Eja Mater Ave Maris Stella
Description
Here is the first recording of the Stabat Mater in F minor restored by Mayr expert Frans Hauk, based on the two existing versions of the manuscript. This work was noted by a contemporary biographer "for its wonderful effect" and its "celestial beauty." Mayr himself revised his works, reusing one of his movements in his superb Requiem (8.573419-20). Ave maris stella is also inspired by a hymn dating back to the 8th century.Buy Stabat Mater Eja Mater Ave Maris Stella at the best price
