Vinicius canta Jobim Digipack

Description

Antonio Carlos Jobim, a monument of Brazilian music, continues to fascinate and inspire many musicians around the world. Thus, it is as an accomplished and recognized musician that the Brazilian Vinicius Cantuaria, a multi-instrumentalist, offers his tribute to Jobim with humility and breathtaking beauty. Recorded between New York and Tokyo, Vinicius canta Antonio Carlos Jobim owes its success to the careful choice of musicians invited by Vinicius. Indeed, it includes duets with the great voices of Melody Gardot (Insentatez) and Joyce (Caminhos Cruzados), as well as contributions from the faithful Bill Frisell and the eclectic Ryuichi Sakomoto. From the sunny Felicidade to the melancholic Insentatez, the spirit of “saudade” runs throughout the album. Vinicius delivers a personal and respectful version of these classics, producing music that is stripped-down yet so sophisticated. An authentic auditory delight!
