The recording of the Brandenburg Concertos in March-April 2021 by the Klaipeda Chamber Orchestra aimed to celebrate the anniversary of these works, whose dedication is dated to the spring of 1721. The primary goal was to create a video of live recordings without edits, which was streamed on the orchestra's YouTube channel, as the restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemic did not allow for a public concert at that time. A team of musicians specialized in the use of historical instruments complemented the string group of the Klaipeda Chamber Orchestra for the occasion.
Then came the idea of a discographic publication, which required some minor corrections and the creation of a new mix. This interpretation aims to be above all a direct reflection of a live performance, with the ups and downs – but also the authenticity – of a recording made "in the moment."
