The neo-Gregorian music of Arvo Pärt subtly interpreted by Viktoria Mullova Dedicated to the violin music of Arvo Pärt, the new album by Viktoria Mullova explores works stemming from the study of medieval sacred music. These pieces are described by Pärt himself as "tintinnabuli" style; a concept he developed in the 1970s that refers to the three notes of a triad resonating like bells. The minimalist composer works with very few elements: one or two voices, a specific tonality, silent beats... Having become emblematic pieces of the contemporary repertoire, the works of Pärt featured on this album were recorded in the presence of the composer.
