A reissue of the masterpiece by the great French folk singer Véronique Chalot, produced in the late 1970s by the Tuscan label Materiali Sonori, a collective with which Véronique collaborated for many years. Celtic music and traditional Breton ballads presented in an elegant and new form, world music created even before the term "world music" existed. A fascinating sound, enriched with melodies that seem ancient but are actually timeless. Throughout her 30-year career, Véronique has given hundreds of concerts, showcasing her repertoire of traditional French and Italian folk songs and helping to promote this fascinating heritage of ancient melodies and dance rhythms.
