Between the percussionist and marimbist Vassilena Serafimova and the Ardeo Quartet, two worlds meet and give rise to new repertoires, as well as atmospheres and sensations recreated in part through original arrangements. A delicate balance, in truth, between the marimba—joined by the vibraphone—and the strings, the former instrument pulsatile and silky, carrying a more pronounced rhythmic dimension and sometimes taking on a concertante role, the latter offering warm lyricism and a texture that is sometimes dense or transparent, but always supple. A delicate balance as well, when it comes to paying homage to the works without altering their original artistic strength.
