An emblematic figure of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, Vardis established itself in the late 70s as one of the most explosive bands on the British scene. Formed in 1977 in Wakefield under the name Quo Vadis, the trio quickly built a reputation thanks to their raw energy and electrifying heavy rock. Their first 7-inch "100 M.P.H.," released in 1979 on Redball Records, is now considered a cult collectible and a valuable testament to the band's early days before the release of their legendary live album 100 M.P.H. on Logo Records. With 100 M.P.H. '79 Revisited, High Roller Records brings together these essential early recordings, including the original and raw versions of "100 M.P.H.," "Blue Rock," "Destiny," and "The World's Insane," as well as several rarities from the band's early sessions. The entire collection has been restored and remastered by Patrick W. Engel at the Temple Of Disharmony, giving new life to these explosive archives that capture all the energy of Vardis's early days.
