Description
Van Halen II is the second album by the American hard rock band Van Halen. It was originally released on March 23, 1979, on the Warner Bros. Records label and was produced by Ted Templeman. Only one track ("Dance the Night Away") was composed in the studio; all the others date back to the period when the band was still playing in clubs and were played and developed during the 1978 tour. The album was recorded almost live with very few overdubs. Like the first album, Van Halen II will achieve tremendous success, particularly thanks to the tracks "Dance the Night Away" and "Beautiful Girls," which will enter the Billboard Hot 100.
