Description

Being a backliner during a PLACEBO tour inevitably sparks the desire to create your own band. It was through this adventure that Gaby (singer/bassist) founded the band "V" in July 2005 alongside Victor Pollet-Villard (drums/vocals). Influenced by bands like Queen and Pink Floyd, after their first two albums "Made In Silence" and "Là où les maux nous laissent," V continues on the path of intensive, deep, and melodic power rock. V records their third album "42" with producer Laurent Thibault (David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Magma…). Woven around a stripped-down bass, a rigorously pulsating drum, and an electric guitar (Simon Lecuyer) with harmonious solos, V's albums leave the impression of a deep homogeneity, focusing on the essentials. Musicians like Françis Moze (Higelin, Magma…) and Philipe "felix" Niel (Rita Mitsouko, FFF) make appearances on V's records.
