United Guitars is a unique guitar project, launched last year by Ludovic Egraz (guitarist, producer, and journalist) and producer Olivia Rivasseau (Mistiroux Productions). The concept: bring together the country's best guitarists in the studio to compose a series of original instrumental tracks packed with riffs! "Exactly one year ago, in the summer of 2019, 'United Guitars' was born: a truly unique collaborative project focusing on instrumental music based on electric guitar, bringing together numerous guitarists to work together in a recording studio for several days with real rhythm sections. No remote sessions, no programmed drums... In the 'United Guitars' world, music is recorded in a great-sounding room with real musicians, real amps, and a real sound engineer. In December 2019, the first double album, "Vol.1," produced by the Mistiroux Productions label, was released. This first opus featured a lineup of 23 guitarists and was very well received, quickly captivating fans of instrumental rock, shred, blues rock, and prog. Just four months later, the COVID crisis didn't stop us from planning the next step and starting work on a new album that promises to be absolutely insane. This time, the talents of 29 guitarists intertwined on 17 tracks, recorded at the end of August 2020, still with Arnaud Bascuñana at the helm. For the rhythm section, we'll find François C. Delacoudre on bass (Laura Cox Band, Thomas Boissy) and Yann Coste on drums (Fills Monkey, No One Is Innocent, Doppler); alongside them, a second formidable drummer, Nicolas Viccaro (Dave Stewart, Sixun, KT Tunstal, Véronique Sanson, Hans Zimmer, Dominique Di Piazza)."
