Uncle Slam, a politically charged thrash metal band from the 90s, made up of former members of Suicidal Tendencies and Warrior, draws its influences from groups like Corrosion of Conformity, Testament, and of course Suicidal Tendencies. Their album « Will Work for Food » (1993), with a magnificent cover designed by the legendary Ed Repka, is now available for the very first time. It features an iconoclastic version of Led Zeppelin's « Dazed and Confused », one of its standout tracks, transforming the proto-punk of that song into a pure concentrate of punk. This album is a true wave of protest. « Will Work for Food » is available for the first time on vinyl, in a limited edition of 750 individually numbered copies, on translucent purple vinyl, with an insert.
