Les Ogres de Barback and the Hurlements d'Léo, it's 20 years of career to defend, without any concession their respective musical aesthetics by breaking down barriers and opening them up to the world. 20 years spent on their favorite playground: the stage. But it's also more than 20 years spent continuously developing new projects, of which the meeting is the key word.
It was therefore natural that these 2 formations would do more than just meet. This was the case at the end of the last century, during shared concerts under the famous Chapiteau Latcho Drom, and this led them to consider extending the experience with nothing less than a tour of Europe. In the fall of 2001, they recorded a "live" album, under the name Un Air, Deux Familles, on which the two groups play together each other's songs, do high-flying covers, and deliver joint compositions. The significant sales of the album will finance the European journey of the following summer. In the meantime, about fifteen dates - without a tent - are planned in France. Everywhere, in venues of more than 1500 seats, they play to sold-out crowds and trigger an impressive frenzy. Requests are coming from all over France for additional concerts. But, for the two groups, the Un Air, Deux Familles project had to be ephemeral, regardless of the success achieved. So, it remained that way. And an artistic adventure that marked tens of thousands of spectators, listeners of the album [silver record], viewers of the dvd [gold dvd].
And then, recently, just like that, without announcing it, the desire to return seized both groups and imposed itself on them. They talked about it, quietly, like old friends. And the desire turned into a project, and. Un Air, Deux Familles will first find its way back to record stores this fall, then make a little tour in 2017!
