Description

The meeting between Barrie Cadogan, guitarist of Little Barrie, and multi-instrumentalist Shawn Lee was born from a shared passion for two rare 1960s Vox guitars: an Ultrasonic and a Grand Prix, which will give their name to the project. With Instafuzz, the two musicians celebrate the sounds of these vintage instruments through an instrumental repertoire where garage rock, rhythm & blues, surf, soul, and psychedelia intertwine with a contagious spontaneity. Supported by drummer Malcolm Catto (The Heliocentrics), they deliver compositions like Seamoon Rising, Triple Denim, Green Means Go, and King Condor, driven by particularly expressive guitar tones. Recorded in a spirit of play and improvisation, Instafuzz emphasizes the exchanges between the musicians, allowing the riffs, grooves, and textures to evolve naturally throughout the tracks.
