High Stakes & Dangerous Men is the thirteenth studio album by the English hard rock band, UFO. It was released on March 10, 1992, on the Griffin Records label and was produced by Kit Woolven.
After seven years of absence and countless changes in musicians, Phil Mogg reformed the band with his old mate Pete Way. Guitarist Laurence Archer (ex-Stampede and Grand Slam) joined the band, which was completed by drummer Clive Edwards. The album returns to a more rock and bluesy sound than its two predecessors, with a clear priority given to the guitars (sometimes slide), while the keyboards remain very discreet.
Remastered reissue. Includes a 2nd CD of a concert given for the promotional tour of this album, on June 20, 1992, in Tokyo at the "Club Citta Kawasaki." 3rd "Live" album of the band at the time after the famous "Live" in 1971 and especially "Strangers In The Night" in 1979.
