Description

They grew up together in Laguna Beach and became prolific artists both as solo acts and within groups such as Sic Alps, Moonhearts, Epsilons, Traditional Fools and Okie Dokie. Released in 2009, vinyl-only, Reverse Shark Attack is the collaboration between Ty Segall and Mikal Cronin, both danceable garage rock and effects-laden psych, between huge guitars and vocal harmonies. The album’s title track fills an entire side and moves from a Beatles-like melody to a strange combination of folk-psych before finally exploding into a migraine of powerful drums and wild surf guitars. The LP format includes an MP3 coupon.
