The trio of percussionists takes on the great international pop hits with interpretations by Camille, Camélia Jordana, Sandra Nkaké, Malik Djoudi, Blick Bassy.
Coming from a classical background at the conservatory of Lyon, Paul Changarnier, Nicolas Cousin, and Alexandre Esperet form the Trio SR9. They have adapted Bach, Satie, Ravel, as well as the finest contemporary composers for the marimba. In 2019, they decided to create, with the label No Format!, a project tackling the hits of pop music. Willing to invent, rearrange, or tinker, yet everything is natural. The Trio has ultimately found a unique instrumental formula designed to complement the voices of: Camille, Blick Bassy, Malik Djoudi, Camelia Jordana, Sandra Nkaké. Well accompanied, the three tightrope walkers of this pocket orchestra make their mallets dance on the bars of the marimbas, and the sounds they draw from the wood vibrate in the belly and burst like comets in the head.
