Libertango
Description
For a few decades now, no other style of popular origin has generated such strong enthusiasm as tango. And not the tango of the Old Guard of the 1930s, but rather its revolutionary version championed by Astor Piazzolla, born in 1922 in the Rio de la Plata, the cradle of Argentine tango. The arrangements for piano, duo or classical trio by the nearly centenarian cellist José Bragato, Piazzolla’s old traveling companion, as well as his own compositions, display great stylistic mastery and naturally give pride of place to the cello. On this recording, Trio Portici wanted to highlight the poetic, sensitive and languid side of these works imbued with a particular atmosphere, with their formation of classical artists in search of sonic, rhythmic and stylistic perfection.Buy Libertango at the best price
