Intégrale des trios pour piano

Description

Mozart’s piano trios mark a decisive moment in the evolution of chamber music, elevating the genre to new artistic heights. This critically acclaimed complete recording by the world-class ensemble Trio Parnassus captures this transformation with intellectual rigor and musical sensitivity. Celebrated masterpieces and lesser-known fragments are presented in this carefully curated edition, setting a benchmark for quality and artistic vision. Trio Parnassus, one of today’s most important piano trios, approaches Mozart with a balance of precision and expressive depth, allowing each musical line to unfold with natural elegance. Their playing reveals all the richness of Mozart’s style without ever seeming overdone. The result is a deeply captivating interpretation. The rich sonority and iridescent timbres of the now legendary 1901 Steinway concert grand “Manfred Bürki” blend beautifully with the strings. This remarkable balance between piano, violin, and cello reveals the conversational nature at the heart of these works. The ensemble’s musical artistry brings clarity, structural understanding, and stylistic authenticity. Every detail is vividly captured in MDG’s audiophile recording, making this release not only a pleasure to enjoy on a high-quality system, but also an essential addition to any discerning collection.
