Adrian Thaws Deluxe Edition

Description

“Calling my new album by my real name is a way of telling you that you don’t know me,” says TRICKY, back with his 11th album! “So many times people have tried to put me in a box, and with each album, I go in a new direction.” Strangely enough, “Adrian Thaws” is his least introspective album. Packed with hits and influences as varied as hip-hop, house, jazz, blues, rock and even reggae, this 11th album raises TRICKY’s status another notch: the more known and respected he becomes, the more free and respected he remains. Recorded in London (where he has just moved back after almost 20 years spent living in New York, Los Angeles and Paris), “Adrian Thaws” brings together a host of guest artists: Francesca Belmonte, Nneka, Mykki Blanco, Bella Gotti, Tirzah, Blue Daisy & Oh Land, Scandinavian pop star. Made to be listened to loud, very loud, this new album is what he considers his “club / hip-hop” album. More complex than it seems, this 11th album is also a modern and refreshing album in that TRICKY continues to reinvent himself successfully for over 25 years! Fresh news: Massive Attack confirms that a new album is in the works, with a track in collaboration with TRICKY.
